Additional Information

Erin McFarland earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a master’s degree of Education in Community Counseling from Ohio University in 1997 and 1999 respectively. Over the past 25 years, she has served as a counselor at the Children’s Home of Wheeling, Harmony House Child Advocacy Center, Fox Run Hospital, Wellspring Family Services, Belmont County Student Services, and Hillcrest Psychiatric Unit/ Hillcrest Outpatient. 

For more than a decade, she has served as counselor and since 2021 as coordinator for the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston’s School Based Health Program, focusing on the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia. In addition to her role with School Based Health, she also serves as Victims Assistance Coordinator for the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston.

She has extensive experience working with children and families, particularly those suffering from the effects of abuse and neglect. She is skilled in both group and individual counseling and has built professional relationships with her peers throughout the region. She is licensed in West Virginia and Ohio.
