There is currently an opening for an Assistant Campus Minister to serve at the University of Charleston in Charleston, WV.  This is a Part Time position.


 


The Assistant Campus Minister will work with the Chaplain in coordinating and facilitating the schedule of masses and sacramental ministries at the University.  In consultation with the Chaplain, students and faculty, the individual will develop and implement catechetical opportunities and pastoral services appropriate to the needs and concerns of the community.  This person will assist with retreats, faith sharing groups and formational gatherings.  The individual will also help with the daily operations of the center.  The individual may be required to work irregular hours, weekend and evenings.


 


 


 

Qualifications Qualified individuals will have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Pastoral Ministry or related field of study. Preference given to individual with Master’s Degree in field the fields of study. Looking for a person who is C.C.M.A. certified or eligible for certification. Practical experience and theoretical knowledge of young adult Catholics’ special needs and concerns is essential. Require a person with good interpersonal, organizational and leadership qualities. Must be able to lead groups, make presentations and communicate effectively.
